A FEW WORDS FROM MYRA NAGEL’S: The germ of the idea for Runaway Poet came to me at a GAL training session on Communicating with Children. One of the participants mentioned that one young person she visited wouldn’t talk much until she discovered he like to write poems. The outline of a plot jumped into my mind at that moment, but I didn’t get around to writing it until years later.
