Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida Announces its
2nd Annual Collier County Fundraising Event:
Make the Night Bright for our abused, neglected and abandoned children
Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida has announced that its Collier County Fund Raiser Make the Night Bright for our abused, neglected and abandoned children will be held from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. on February 22 at the Naples Depot Museum.
Tickets are $125 per person and sponsorships are available from $500 to $5,000. The evening, emceed by NBC-2 Anchor Stacey Deffenbaugh, will feature wine and food pairings, Norman Love chocolate experiences, 40s and 50s music, silent and live auctions and unique activities all to benefit the Guardian ad Litem Program and the Kids Being Kids Program.
Guardians are volunteer advocates who become the abused, neglected and abandoned child’s “voice” in court, school, community and the child welfare system. Through the Kids Being Kids Program, Guardians may request funding for items that give a sense of normalcy to children who have been removed from their parents because of abuse, neglect or abandonment…items that most children can take for granted. For example, emergency or supplemental clothing, a bed of one’s own, tutoring, access to the arts, a birthday cake, gymnastics, sports participation, scouts and scout uniforms, school field trips and clubs, or summer camps.
