Voices for Kids of Southwest Florida’s ‘Make the Night Bright’ Event Series raises over $34,000!
Voices for Kid of Southwest Florida, Inc. (VFK), a nonprofit agency supporting Florida’s 20th Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program, raised over $34,000 through its signature fundraising events in Southwest Florida. This money will definitely make the day and night bright for Southwest Florida’s most vulnerable children – the abused, neglected and abandoned!
The much needed dollars raised will assist VFK recruit and train Guardians for the 600 children who do not have one and fund its Kids Being Kids Program which provides those items that give the 1,500 children in the program a sense of normalcy in their lives: a warm cozy bed; clothing; participation in sports, the arts, social clubs; academic tutoring; happier birthdays; summer camp; medical needs, etc.
“These dollars will help ensure that every child’s voice is heard and that these children will be afforded normalcy in their not so normal situation,” explains Darlene Ann Grossman, VFK’s Executive Director.
